Glenavon Cottage is situated on a 30 acre alpaca stud at Macclesfield, about an easy 1 hour drive east from the centre of Melbourne or the airport.

Centrally Located in the picturesque Dandenong Ranges which is well known for its numerous restaurants, sidewalk café’s, scenic drives and galleries and craft shops and of course Puffing Billy.

Macclesfield is also an easy drive to the Yarra Valley.

The cottage is perfect for couples wanting a relaxing break with breathtaking views overlooking Macclesfield to the Warburton Ranges to the north and Mt Dandenong to the east, or for families to experience life on an alpaca stud.

We manage about 100 alpacas on the property and for people who want to learn more about these delightful creatures we run introduction hands-on workshops over two days.

We can also provide stabling for horses if you would like to compete in the many equestrian events held around the area or for people who would like to bring their horses for a quiet ride around the many tracks. We are a short drive to Gembrook, Kirth Kiln and the State Park.
